Unofficial World Golf Rankings

I don't like the OWGR because they're hard to figure out and players are penalized for player small time events. If Phil Mickelson were to play a Nationwide event and win he'd lose points. I think. Not that he would enter one anyway, but should he really be penalized for playing lesser events? It's really complicated. I could be way off on that point. So anyways, I made my own rankings based only on the majors for a couple reasons.

1. The majors are the only tournaments that ALL the best players in the world play in.
2. Including other events would involve ranking the strength of the fields and spending countless hours entering data, hours that I don't have.

So here they are: Mike West's Unofficial World Golf Rankings. You get points based on your finish in the last 12 majors played. Recent performance is weighted heavier than older performances. Points are allotted on this basis: http://www.colleyrankings.com/olympics2010/explain.html

A win is worth one point, a second .5, third .33, fourth .25 etc. The last major played is worth full points, while the tournament before that is worth 11/12 points, and so on until the last 12 majors have been counted...
